skinSense is the first of two website design projects undertaken for beauty industry expert and QVC presenter, Abi Cleeve. As an exclusive skincare range, skinSense harnesses patented lamellar technology to maximise ingredient efficacy, ensuring a premium skincare experience.

We designed an eCommerce website that effectively communicated the scientific benefits of skinSense products while appealing to affluent women seeking premium skincare solutions. With the branding already established, our goal was to create a site that showcased both the high quality of the products and their scientific foundations.

The design is visually appealing, user-friendly, and reflective of the high standards associated with skinSense. The typography is airy and modern, complemented by bespoke icons designed to represent complex concepts with a thin outline style, consistent with the overall text styling. Key features include:

  • Warehouse integration: Streamlining order management and inventory control.
  • Delivery tracking: Providing customers with real-time updates on their orders.
  • Multilingual support: A German version of the site was developed using a Magento multi-store extension with a language pack.
  • SEO migration: Comprehensive SEO migration from the existing website and SEO training to enhance online visibility and search engine rankings.
  • Optimised checkout: An innovative pop up basket alongside a funnelled checkout experience.

The website was developed using a hybrid approach, combining WordPress and Magento. This integration provided superior eCommerce functionality alongside a robust content management system.
