The Eaves – Professional Body of Counsellors, Psychotherapists, and Psychologists, providing mental health support across Surrey and online, needed a website that could serve their growing team of approximately 150 practitioners. These practitioners, ranging from counsellors to psychotherapists and psychologists, each specialised in different therapeutic areas.
The website needed to act as a directory where users could easily search for professionals based on their needs, location, and availability. We designed and built a fully customised website that provides a seamless user experience while supporting the operational needs of The Eaves and its practitioners. Key features include:
Search & filtering functionality: We developed a bespoke SQL-based application allowing users to input their needs and filter results by various criteria, including age, type of therapy, location, and practitioner availability. This user-friendly interface guides visitors through the search process step by step, helping them create a shortlist of suitable professionals.
In-depth practitioner profiles: Each of the 150+ practitioners has their own dedicated profile page, which includes detailed information about their specialisations and services. Visitors can easily contact practitioners directly through the site.
Admin friendly back-office: The administrative system was built to be intuitive, allowing trained staff and untrained counsellors to update profiles, manage availability, and make adjustments without the need for technical expertise.
The result was a comprehensive, professional website that not only improves user accessibility but also streamlines the management process for The Eaves. The simple yet effective interface supports a growing number of visitors seeking tailored mental health services, while ensuring that counsellors can focus on their work without being bogged down by technical challenges.
