We are usually still able to offer the b:supported package. Unfortunately, there would be no discount on costs as any savings would be offset by the additional layer of dealing with a third-party. We do prefer to host the websites ourselves as it gives us full control and allows us to be more responsive.
Please note – not all hosting is equal, please do check that your hosting provider is including a daily backup and disaster recovery process.
Your website is at high risk if you have no provisions at all for security management. Gradually, over time, your website becomes less and less secure and without monitoring a hack can cause untold damage. Malicious websites may also be removed from the Google search results and blacklisted. It would be difficult to show GDPR compliance if elements of the website were out of date.
