Website Design Brief

Services: website design, eCommerce, SEO

Wildlife Aid, a charity dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife, needed a website overhaul to better serve their mission. Their previous website was outdated, non-responsive, and difficult for both users and administrators to navigate. The charity required a modern, user-friendly platform to raise awareness, facilitate donations, and integrate seamlessly with their social media presence.

Collaborative Web Design Process

As with all fundraising websites for charities, the primary goal was to inform, engage, and inspire action. Our journey began with a series of collaborative workshops where we discussed content, structure, and design. This ensured that the new website would align perfectly with Wildlife Aid’s goals and branding. From these discussions, we developed bespoke page templates tailored to deliver a professional and engaging user experience.

User Experience & Navigation

We placed a strong emphasis on improving the user journey, ensuring that information was easy to find with clear calls to action and simplified navigation. We implemented best practices to guide users smoothly through the site.

To enhance storytelling, we used vibrant colors and intuitive icons. The design is bright, making the entire site visually appealing, while being exceptionally easy to navigate, especially on mobile devices.

Website Development & eCommerce

We developed the Wildlife Aid website using WordPress to ensure flexibility, easy management, and future scalability. Key features include eCommerce functionality for purchases and donations, automated social media posting, and a secure members-only area with exclusive content like webcam access. Additional features include advanced search filters, a fixed header for better navigation, and Mailchimp integration for effective supporter communication.

Testimonial

“Thank you! I was so impressed with the whole b:web team, especially Zoe and Naomi, who visited us in Surrey. The new website design looks fantastic. b:web took our brief, budget, and timescales and delivered incredible results.

The back-office side of the website has turned out really well. My team can easily edit all the sections they’re responsible for, which makes a huge difference. I’m also thrilled that we managed to integrate the 24-hour webcams into the site, this was really important to me, and it’s great to see it come together so seamlessly.”
